"This is story of a girl Padma. Padma, she was like any other girl and this story can be true for any girl in this world.
Padma was a small and beautiful girl of a small city. She had very loving parents and a younger brother too. She was just a 11 years small kid in a school. Till she was in class five, her father use to take her to school everyday. This birthday she got a bicycle in present. She was now old enough to go to her school on a bicycle. She loved it always and used to fly on it. She didn't know what a new world she is going to face while going alone to school.
It was just another day of for her.She was going to school. Suddenly she noticed that there are few guys, following her on cycles. they were staring her and passing some comments on her. She was little scared, but She ignored them for once. She started pushing paddles faster and soon get ahead of those guys and reached school. She was wondering whole day why those guys were behind her and what they were talking about.
Next day she started early for school.. and again she noticed same boys chasing her.. this time they were just beside her. They were laughing vigorously and passing some comments that she could not understand.. but she soon realized that something wrong was happening. It felt somebody abusing you upfront. She looked down and moved fast to the school. After those guys went to some other way, she saw some laborers siting besides the road. They started gazing her in a very disgusting way and were passing comments. She was burning with angst for this humiliating behavior. And things got regular now.. everyday she was followed by those guys and she had to face there dirty comments.
One day it was too much for her. When she came home, she cried in front of mirror.. she was very confused and were asking a question to probably herself or to the God that why this is happening to her. What is her fault? Is it so difficult to be a girl? She didn't tell this to her parents thinking not to bother them. She decide to face this. But this has put a very bad impression on her about how boys are. She almost started hating Man. And she decided to hide this girl inside a shield .. where she buried all the softness of a girl!
She had decided to close this chapter. It was a regular day. She started from her house and those guys again joined her. They were making strange postures looking at her. She could not understand what it meant but it was clearly very abusing and offensive for her. The next road was just a few meters behind the school and there was a small traffic signal.
She stopped there for a while and just behind her were those devil boys. She was determined what to do. She came down from bicycle and looked upon them, the guys were little surprised at this behavior. But seems they were enjoying it. Soon they realized the anger in her gaze. She moved towards them, and there laughter turned into silence. She was now just a foot away from them. She didn't say anything and just kept on gazing them. Now guys were little afraid but one of them pretended to be very daring .He came towards her and he was about to say something, than suddenly there was a blasting sound.." tadak" and the boy fell down. He couldn't bear the slap filled with anger and revenge that Padma was having in her heart from those 10 days. It came as a outburst and revealed the level of torture she were facing.
All of them were stunned. Everybody on street was looking at these people. Some people tried to came near them. But those guys already had their lesson. They didn't say a word and rushed fast on there cycles and never appeared before her after that day.
Padma's outburst was visible as drops of tears from her eyes.
She reached home and didn't say a world to anyone.
She was just thinking , why people don't think how a girl feels. Why they always see her with an eye filled with lust and hunger. Why her self respect is pierced and wounded everyday.
And she had no answer !!!!
But that day she decided to face this world. She was not going to be a weak girl.. she will face this man's world and that she is not going to remain silent."
THE END
This story seems to be a happy ending story. But let me tell you that you cant feel even a bit of the mental harassment a girl feel in this world every day. Not just some low class gunda type elements are the crusher of their dignity, all of the man seems to be always ready to eat them out. Its so disgusting. Many of us cant even imagine the level this torture, because our sisters, mothers or daughters never told us how difficult and painful it is for them. Since the age as small as 8, they start facing the cruel eyes of this world. Why they don't have the freedom and luxury(?) of moving out freely. If you feel even a single% of the pain of a woman, and if you really want to eliminate such thing that "its very difficult for a girl to live gracefully in this world".. please stop such things. Why should a girl do all the adjustments. Why everyday is so challenging in their life? Why all restrictions are for girls only. When we will be having a society where a woman will not be treated like a peace of meat for a hungry wild animal!!
I have put every thing very simple words but I hope you can imaging the degree of abusive behavior girls face in our society. This seems to be a deep routed evil in our society but lets change our mindset and that of your youngsters. So that our next generation could breath freely in this world. its said that in a society where woman is worshiped a goddess, God himself reside there to bless it.
